Indian cricket star Shreyas Iyer suffered a lacerated spleen and was admitted to a medical center in Sydney after an unfortunate tumble while attempting a catch during the third one-day international versus Australia, according to team officials.

The 30-year-old sustained the injury on Saturday while fielding to dismiss Alex Carey, with the athlete holding his abdomen and showing discomfort after falling onto the SCG turf.
