Mikel Arteta Applauds ‘More Reliable’ Squad and Confirms Havertz Setback.

The Gunners' boss feels assured that his squad can continue to cope with injury setbacks following disclosing that star striker Kai Havertz remains out for the coming weeks.

Extended Absence for Havertz

The German forward has been sidelined since August following knee surgery. Initially expected to be available earlier in December, the manager stated the player encountered a problem when advancing his rehabilitation and was unable to move forward “to the next level.”

“We learned, and we were able to put together a group that is considerably steadier and has increased versatility,” stated the manager.

Selection Dilemma for Brentford Clash

This news leaves a tactical puzzle for the midweek match against Brentford. Arteta must choose between continuing to use Mikel Merino, who found the net in an unfamiliar forward role on Sunday, or reinstating Viktor Gyökeres, who featured briefly off the bench in the latter stages.
