Skydance Paramount Will Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance will initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 American roles under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

The layoffs come after the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.

Additional overseas workforce reductions are expected, with the company intending to disclose all specifics in its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Earlier reports stated the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the company retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
